Automatic Racing Announces Partnership with Rogue Engineering

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Racing puts immense strain on the components of a car, but Rogue Engineering has proven their automotive products on the track and will continue to do so with Automatic Racing throughout the 2005 Grand-Am Cup season.

Rogue Engineering produces aftermarket performance products for BMW's, and partnering with Automatic Racing and their No. 09 and 90 E46 M3's was a natural choice.

Automatic Racing first used Rogue Engineering products last season when they needed a shifter assembly. The team was so impressed with the quality of the products that they are partnering with Rogue Engineering this year.

"We have been really impressed with the performance of Rogue Engineering's products," stated Automatic Racing driver David Russell. "Their products are well-constructed and have helped us solve some reliability issues. We're trying to win a championship this year, and working with Rogue Engineering will help us reach that goal."

Team owner and driver Jep Thornton added that "Rogue Engineering has a great reputation for manufactured BMW parts. We're pleased to have them as a sponsor of the team this year."

Ben Liaw and Mark Sinclair, owners of Rogue Engineering, are looking forward to being more involved in Automatic Racing's program. "Our involvement with Automatic started last year," Liaw says. "Their shifter assembly broke, so somebody suggested they call us. I sent them over a shifter kit and they absolutely loved it. Going into 2005 we decided to make it official. If we can help again with our parts, it makes sense. We make parts for the street, and having a sports car team using our products really gives our products some validity."

Rogue Engineering will also benefit by having Automatic Racing assist in product development, testing and improving the products offered to customers of Rogue Engineering.

Automatic Racing will be using Rogue Engineering products when they begin the 2005 Grand-Am Cup season with the Daytona 200 on Friday, February 4 at Daytona International Speedway.
