Compass360/Racing Announces Daytona Driver Line-Up, and New Sponsor

Compass360/Racing is pleased to report on their two-car effort in Grand Am Cup for 2005. For the season-opener in Daytona (which now features 73 cars), Team Principal Karl Thomson will be joined by veteran Grand American competitor David Rosenblum. Both Rosenblum and Thomson have numerous race wins under their belt, and look forward to battling the field again in their #06 BMW Z3 Coupe. "We learned a lot about the Z3 last year," said Thomson, "and we feel they'll be even more competitive in 2005."

The team's #36 BMW will be piloted by Formula Renault alumni Tim Hauraney and Harold Linville, who drove well in the Shuitemaker 350Zs in 2004. "We're excited to have two drivers as capable as Harold and Tim," remarked Team Principal Ian McQuillan. "These guys have done well in very different kinds of cars, and we believe they'll be competitive in the 2005 Grand Am Cup."

The Compass360/Racing team will also use the Daytona event to present their newest sponsor, Toronto-based Burry Signs, to the Grand Am series. "Burry Signs has been a supporter of our team for the past three years, and we are thrilled that they've joined us as a sponsor," said Thomson. "Their graphics have always made our cars stand out in the paddock, and our goal is to show the Grand Am community what great value they provide in other areas like store signage, construction hoarding, and car decals."

Burry Signs joins sponsors Compass360 Advertising and Design, Hockley Autosport, mmwave Technologies, W3Connex, Nautical White Yachtwear, and A1fotos.com.

#06 and #36 take to the track for the Daytona 200 on Friday February 4th, kicking off the 10-race Grand Am Cup season that runs across North America, from Florida to California, and Alabama to Quebec. The races will be televised on SPEED channel.
