TEAM TO MAKE KONI CHALLENGE DEBUT AT LIME ROCK THIS SATURDAY

COLUMBIA, SC (May 22, 2008) --Meyer Motorsports is about to embark on an incredible journey. The team's two Mazda RX-8's, numbers 16 and 30, will circle the Lime Rock track beginning with Friday practice and are looking for a solid debut.

Just a few months ago these cars were driving around the streets, now they will be fighting for victory in one of the largest fields (50 entries) the KONI Challenge ST class has seen. Completing all of the laps in the race is the first priority for the team as every lap that the team completes adds to the teams database. Meyer Motorsports is not content, however, to just ride around the track as the entire crew from top to bottom has worked relentlessly on making the Mazda's reliable and fast.

When asked about the weekend, owner and driver of the #30 Eric Meyer said, "You know that feeling of butterfly's in your stomach, thinking about if you left anything back at the shop and the huge excitement you get when you just aligned your cars and all the corners come out only a few pounds apart? That's how I'm feeling right now--fantastic. Look out world, here come the Meyer Motorsports Team!"

Several new cars and teams will make their debut this weekend in the Street Touring category however Meyer Motorsports is confident that their cars will be able to compete at the sharp end of the grid. The #16 RamTECH entry for the team will be piloted all season by SCCA Runoffs runner-up Sam Stuard and KONI Challenge veteran Andy Brumbaugh. The RamTECH program began at Daytona this year and was running in the top ten until being hit in the rear by a car in a different class. Now with Meyer Motorsports, the RamTECH car is ready to make up for Daytona with a great finish.

Completing the driver lineup in the #30 entry with sponsorship from K1RaceGear.com will be Peyton Wilson of Chantilly, VA. Wilson has 15 years of racing experience in Mazda's including the new SCCA Pro Racing MX-5 cup, Spec Miata, Koni Challenge, SCCA World Challenge and numerous club racing events. He is the holder of several track records at various East Coast race courses. In addition to driving race cars, he is a Counter Terrorism driving instructor for the Federal Government.
