Team Sahlen Heads to Lime Rock for Split GS & ST Races

Team Sahlen will enter their first competition at Lime Rock Park this Memorial Day weekend during the Grand-Am Cup race. This year's race at Lime Rock is a split race with Street Tuner (ST) starting off the race weekend with Grand Sport (GS) taking to the track on Monday. Team Sahlen will have three total entries for the Grand-Am Cup races.

Joe Sahlen and Will Nonnamaker return to the ST class with the team's No. 41 Dodge SRT-4. Sahlen and Nonnamaker are both looking forward to the Memorial Day race at Lime Rock Park.

"We have races on Saturday and Monday instead of Saturday and Sunday. It will be nice to have a day off in-between but it is always hard to wait a full day like that for the next race," stated Nonnamaker.

Hopefully for Sahlen and Nonnamaker Sunday will allow them to focus in on Monday's events. Nonnamaker and Sahlen will enter Monday's GS race with the team's No. 43 Porsche 996. The GS race will be the first of the day for the co-drivers. Sahlen and Nonnamaker are entered in Monday's Grand American Rolex race as well.

Joining Sahlen and Nonnamaker on the track for the GS race will be Nonnamaker's father and brother. Joe and Wayne Nonnamaker will co-drive the team's No. 44 Porsche 996 in the Lime Rock Park race. Lime Rock Park. Forty-five cars are entered in the GS race and Wayne Nonnamaker believes Team Sahlen will have an excellent showing.

"Our entire team is looking forward to this race especially with the Memorial Day racing tradition at Lime Rock. We have had some time after the Phoenix race to work on some issues with the cars and I think we will do quite well," states Nonnamaker.
