Jack Roush Jr. and Billy Johnson, co-drivers of the No. 61 Roush Performance Ford Mustang GT dominated last weekend's EMCO Gears Classic at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course until the final lap when they made contact with another car. The duo is currently third in the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge point standings.

JACK ROUSH JR. - co-driver, No. 61 Roush Performance Ford Mustang GT

YOU HAD A GREAT RACE ON SATURDAY AND LED UP UNTIL THE LAST LAP. WHAT HAPPENED? "The No. 61 Roush Ford Mustang was really good. We qualified second and during my stint I was able to get it up to first for a number of laps. After the driver change, Billy quickly got it up to first again. It was a hard battle and Billy did an awesome job. The car was great, but with just a few laps left the No.97 car slammed into him due to a braking problem they had and unfortunately that set us off track and made us lose a number of positions. The No. 97 was unable to finish the race so it was unfortunate."

YOU WERE DOMINATING ALL DAY DURING THE RACE AND YOU'VE BEEN PRETTY DOMINANT ALL SEASON. "I think that the Ford Mustang is a great platform for this series in general. I guess I'm kind of biased, but we have also an excellent team behind us. I'm also very happy to be driving with Billy. I think we just have all the right pieces and fortunately we have been able to put those together." Back to Top
