MULTIMATIC MOTORSPORTS CARRYING MOMENTUM TO NEW JERSEY

Markham, Ontario (July 16, 2010) - The Multimatic Motorsports team will have extra motivation when they head to New Jersey Motorsports Park for the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race that takes place July 16 - 17.

The event will be like a home event for the Ford Mustang Boss 302R squad. Multimatic Motorsports driver Frankie Monteacalvo and team sponsor Bayshore Recycling are from the New Jersey area.

With friends, family and Bayshore Recycling representatives on site, the team is looking for strong results from both its #15 and #16 entries at the 2.25-mile natural road course.

Scott Maxwell and Joe Foster will be chasing a return to the top-10 after a troublesome stretch of races. The pair were plagued with a series of electrical gremlins and, although those issues were solved for the last event at Mid-Ohio, a suspension problem took them out of contention.

For Gunnar Jeannette and Frankie Montecalvo, the young gun duo will be looking to continue their strong form from Mid-Ohio. The drivers of the #16 Bayshore Recycling machine registered their best finish of the season by placing eighth, despite early contact that damaged the car.

15 car at Mid-Ohio Even if the New Jersey Motorsports Park circuit is not known to be a perfect match for the Ford Mustang Boss 302R, Multimatic Motorsports is encouraged following the team's last race and is carrying momentum into Round 8 of the ten race 2010 schedule.

Joe Foster, #15 Ford Mustang Boss 302R
"The New Jersey circuit is a very narrow, sinuous and technical track. So I have to be honest, it's going to suit lighter cars like the BMWs and Porsches but then again, as we've seen in the past, you never really know how things are going to go until you get there. It will be a good race to keep working on the development element and keep making the Ford Mustang Boss 302R better and better. The last race was encouraging in the fact that we didn't encounter the problems that hampered our previous races so I'm looking forward to see how things pan out for us at New Jersey."   Scott Maxwell, #15 Ford Mustang Boss 302R
"I've only been to New Jersey Motorsports Park once and that happened to be the day after my son was born, and I missed all the practice and qualifying, so I've only done one race there and I can't say I know the track that well. I'm not sure how we'll fit into the whole picture there in terms of competitiveness but I hope that our luck will start to swing our way."   Frankie Montecalvo, #16 Bayshore Recycling Ford Mustang Boss 302R
"This is one of the races that I have been looking forward to the most this season because it is my home race. It's also our sponsor Bayshore Recycling's home event so I'm hoping we can have a good showing in front of them. We scored our best result of the season at our last race and I'm confident we can keep it up at New Jersey Motorsports Park."   Gunnar Jeannette, #16 Bayshore Recycling Ford Mustang Boss 302R
"The small break between races has been nice as it has given us time to regroup. The race at New Jersey Motorsports Park will be special for us since it is Frankie's and Bayshore Recycling's home race. We will have a bunch of people at the race and I'm looking forward to doing well in front of the home crowd. We're carrying some momentum over from our last race at Mid-Ohio where we achieved our best result of the season, so it's encouraging heading to New Jersey."
