Team Sahlen looking to move up in GS Team Standings

Team Sahlen is ready to move up in Grand-Am Cup Team Point Standings. The Grand Sport (GS) class team is heading to Toole, Utah for their next installment of Grand-Am Cup racing. This is the first time the Grand-Am Cup series and Team Sahlen will race at the 4.5 mile road course. Team owner Joe Nonnamaker feels his team is ready for the challenge.

"We are all very excited to get on the track at Miller Motorsports Park. It should be a great race. We have made some excellent adjustments to the cars and everyone is looking forward to it," stated Nonnamaker.

Nonnamaker will be joined in the Team Sahlen No. 44 car by his son Wayne. Joe and Wayne are currently 7th in the team point standings. They have shared two top-ten finishes this season with their most recent at the street course of Trois Rivieres.

Joining Joe and Wayne in the GS class will be Joe Sahlen and Will Nonnamaker in the Team Sahlen No. 43 car. Sahlen and Nonnamaker have yet to land a top-ten finish this season, however. Will Nonnamaker believes that after the race at Miller Motorsports Park he and his co-driver will move up in the point standings.

"We still have two chances this season to move up once again in the Team Point Standings. Joe and I have worked very hard at getting significant track time this season and we feel we have remained very competitive," stated Nonnamaker.
