Rolex Series GT champion joins SHOES FOR CREWS® Porsche line-up for Rolex 24 At Daytona

ALTON, Va. (January 13, 2005) -- Synergy Racing announced today that defending Rolex Sports Car Series GT champion Craig Stanton, of Long Beach, Calif., will join the line-up for the No. 80 SHOES FOR CREWS® Porsche GT3 for the Rolex 24 At Daytona, January 28-29. Stanton will team with his longtime co-driver David Murry of Atlanta, Ga., and Leh Keen of Dublin, Ga., who rivaled Stanton for the championship in 2005.

"I'm really excited to be back with Synergy and Shoes For Crews," said Stanton. "I was down in Daytona as a guest driver only for the test last week, and we did really, really well. We're pretty excited and optimistic."

"We've been working to put together a top-notch Rolex 24 driver line-up for the SHOES FOR CREWS® Porsche, and Craig is the perfect driver to round out this powerful trio," said Cole Scrogham, Synergy Racing co-owner. "Craig and David showed us once again last season what a superb driving duo they are, and Leh was right up there with them fighting us for the championship. We're excited to bring these three great drivers together to represent Shoes For Crews and Synergy Racing in the Rolex 24."

Stanton captured his second-straight driver championship last season, partnering with Murry in the Synergy Racing No. 80 Porsche en route to the GT championship. Stanton and Murry teamed up in the Grand-Am Cup Series the prior season, where Stanton took the Grand Sport driver championship.

"Everyone knows I consider David the perfect co-driver, and now we have a new co-driver, which is Leh Keen," continued Stanton. "We've raced against him over the last couple of years, and Leh is a good young driver. He's focused, he's committed and he comes from a good family."

Although Stanton and Murry have a long history as co-drivers, this will mark the first time the two veteran racers have driven together as teammates in the Rolex 24 At Daytona. The classic endurance race was the only event last season where they did not race together, resulting in Stanton winning the championship while Murry finish third in the point standings.

"We've run just about ever other endurance race known to man except for the Rolex 24, so this is exciting," explained Stanton. "After the Rolex 24, we'll have run every race in America, Canada and Mexico as co-drivers."

Although Stanton picked up a Rolex watch for his GT championship last season, he admits to already wanting a second Rolex--this time for winning the Rolex 24 At Daytona.

"This is one race that I want to win really, really bad," admits Stanton. "And I feel the SHOES FOR CREWS® Porsche has an excellent shot this year. I don't think there are many driver combinations like this. David and I have great history together, and now we have Leh to help us out. He's equally as quick and really savvy in a car."

The Rolex 24 At Daytona will be held at Daytona International Speedway, January 26-29. Ticket information is available online at www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com.
