ALTON, VA (February 28, 2006) - Synergy Racing announced today that Glycomax will be the primary sponsor of their No. 8 Porsche powered Daytona Prototype for Round Two of the 2006 Rolex Sports Car Series, Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, taking place in Mexico City March 2-4, 2006. The team is thrilled by their newly formed partnership with Glycomax, team owner Cole Scrogham comments, "We are very pleased to have the support of Glycomax for the Mexico City race and we hope to continue to develop a relationship between Synergy Racing and Glycomax that will extend into the future."
Glycomax is the official performance drink of the Grand American Rolex Series. It is the first scientifically proven performance-enhancing drink on the market, and is used by elite athletes for maximum performance. The formula is tailored to individual drivers to increase their concentration, time to exhaustion, and hydration. Both Frisselle brothers have been working with Glycomax for two years now, and they are thrilled to have the opportunity to promote the product they believe in. "Glycomax is a truly revolutionary product that has helped us to enhance our performance in the car," states Burt. "I am very happy to have Glycomax come on board as our primary sponsor for Mexico City," comments Brian. "I believe strongly in the product, and it has become a part of our race regimen."
Shoes For Crews, the footwear company that has been supplying the Synergy Racing team with slip-resistant footwear for over a year now, will serve as the primary sponsor at Round Four of the 2006 season, the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, coming to the streets of Long Beach April 7-8, 2006. "Shoes For Crews became involved in our GT program in 2005, and Synergy Racing is thrilled to be extending that partnership to our DP program in 2006," states team owner Cole Scrogham.
About Synergy Racing
Team owners Cole Scrogham and Danny and Steve Marshall introduced Synergy
Racing in December 2004. Based at Virginia International Raceway, Synergy
Racing is an evolution of G&W Motorsports, which had catered to Porsche
racing since 1996 and became the most successful team in the Rolex Sports
Car Series with three team championships and four driver champions, 15 class
wins and more than 50 podium finishes. The team underwent a major
transformation that included a name and logo change, as well as a complete
restructuring into a customer-based championship racing business, which
concentrates on the needs of the customer rather than the desires of the
team. For more information on Synergy Racing, visit synergyracing.com.
