BRUMBAUGH TO JOIN TEAM FOR 6 HOUR EVENT

COLUMBIA, SC (June 2, 2008) The newly formed GTS Racing with Mitchum Motorsports Team is excited about Watkins Glen. This will be the first time the team has competed with the car prepped wholly by themselves. "We have taken advantage of the time since Homestead and moved the entire operation to a new shop in Richmond, Va. that is dedicated to the teams Porsche 997 GT entry. Our goal is to compete at the highest level possible and have fun. Given the current level of competition in the GT field we think our effort will stack up very well," stated team manager and crew chief Chris Mitchum.

The team is confident of having a strong effort at the Glen to show how well they have come together since the Homestead event. "The team has tested on multiple occasions to develop the car at Carolina Motorsports Park. The team has combined the on track work and in house development to put the best foot forward for the Glen. We are having a good time and the package should be very competitive," Mitchum said.

Driving for the team this weekend will be long time Grand-Am Rolex GT competitors Bransen Patch and Jim Michaelian. Joining the two drivers will be Andy Brumbaugh of Columbia, SC. Brumbaugh is a full-time KONI Challenge competitor and former UPS-Porsche Junior team shootout driver. Chris Mitchum said, "I am excited and pleased that Andy is joining the team for the Sahlens 6 hours of the Glen. We have been friends and co-workers for a while and I think that this is a great opportunity for both of us. I believe in his talent and feel that he will be a real asset to the team."
