Grease Monkey Racing Ready For The Sahlen's Six Hours At Watkins Glen.

Grease Monkey Racing is ready for this weekend's Sahlen's Six Hours at Watkins Glen. The Los Angeles, California based team will introduce two new drivers to Grand-Am competition, Andrew Alfonso, 21 from Danville, California and Adolfo "Pato" Castillo, 32 from Guatemala. The drivers tested at Willow Springs last weekend alongside lead driver, Gene Sigal to prepare for this weekend's event. Along with the two new drivers, Grease Monkey Racing will debut they're 2004 Porsche GT3 Cup Car at Wakins Glen in the SGS class. At the Phoenix 250 in April, they ran a 2001 GT3 in SGS.

"At Phoenix we were lacking 60 hp to the 2004 cars, but we still got up to fourth before we had an incident. The test at Willow Springs went really well, the 2004 car is awesome. I know Alfonso & Castillo will do an excellent job, they proved their speed and talent at Willow Springs. Therefore, we are quite confident for this weekend's race." Said an enthusiastic, Gene Sigal.

Alfonso and Castillo are looking forward to this weekend's race with anticipation. Alfonso is a multi-time national karting champion as part of JM Racing of Carson California. This season he has been competing in the Skip Barber National Formula Dodge series with success. Even though Alfonso' s background is formula cars, he took to the GT3 very well. After a few laps he was turning times close to Sigal's, but more importantly he was very consistent.

Castillo is considered one of the best drivers in Guatemala. From an 800 hp ex-Trans-Am car, to a 110 hp Toyota Yaris, to 125cc Shifter Karts, Pato, as he is known to his friends, is usually winning races. The Sahlen's Six Hours at Watkins Glen will be his first venture in racing outside Central America. Pato will bring some members of the media and sponsors from Guatemala in hopes to increase the awareness of Grand-Am Sports Car racing in Central America. Grease Monkey Racing will be supported by RPM Aceleracion, Tre Fratelli, Bravha, Car Graphic, MB Quart, Sparco, Motul, JM Racing, and Avantikart.com at the Glen.

Be sure to tune into Speed Channel's live coverage of the Sahlen's Six Hours At Watkins Glen on Sunday June 20th, starting at 11 a.m ET. Grease Monkey Racing will have an in-car camera during the event.
