New South Welshman David Wall and Wall Racing have taken out back-to-back Australian GT Championships thanks to charge through the field from last to 5th place in the final race of the Championship at Sandown Raceway this weekend.

David's never say die attitude was what pushed him to work his way from last place in grid for the final race of the season to bring his Wilson Security Porsche home in 5th place and secure back-to-back Championships.

"To be able to deliver Wilson Security a national championship in my first full year with them is a fantastic way for me to thank them for their support," David said.

"This year we ran the team ourselves to keep costs down and the team has operated perfectly all season. They are a fantastic bunch of guys; from my engineer Steve Williams down, their dedication and support are why we have had so much success.

"Putting the number 1 on the car before the first round at Clipsal at the start of the year made me determined to win the Championship again.

"To win back-to-back Australian GT Championships is the highlight of my career so far and to do so in the same car we won with last year makes it even more special.

"I have had amazing support from all my sponsors this year, not just Wilson Security.

"Payce have continued to support me this year, along with Shannons and Mount Aqua. It is easy to say that without them we would not be here, but the simple fact is that we wouldn't. Motorsport is an expensive sport and without their unwavering support we would not be here winning back-to-back championships.

"Of course, being a family run team, I would not be here without the support of my parents and my wife Amy. They all work hard to help the team get to where we are today and my huge thanks go out to them."
