Maranello, 4 October 2010 -- Two weeks after the Brands Hatch race, the International GT Open championship was back in action at Monza for the seventh and penultimate round. Ferrari dominated the race at the Italian circuit on Saturday, filling all three steps of the podium thanks to Enrico Toccacelo and Raffaele Giammaria (Edilcris Racing Team,) Pierre Kaffer and Alvaro Barba (AF Corse) and Michael Broniszewsky and Philipp Peter (Kessel Racing.) The Toccacelo and Giammaria F430 then took second place in Race 2, behind the Porsche 911 of Patrick Pilet and Raymond Narac and ahead of the other Ferrari of Tim Mullen and Adam Christodolou (CRS Racing.) Thanks to these results the Kaffer-Barba duo keeps the lead in the championship on 188 points, followed by the crew of Narac and Pilet on 176 and Giammaria and Toccacelo on 173.
The eighth and final title deciding round takes at Barcelona's Catalunya circuit over the weekend of 31 October.
