In Imola thinking to Loris
This weekend, on the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit in Imola, Marco Frezza, with his Ferrari 430 GT2 of the Kessel Racing team, which he shares with the Portuguese Pedro Couceiro, will be taking part to the first of his two home races in this International GT Open season. With two second places in the first two race weekends after his belt, maybe the Italian soil will help him get to the highest step of the podium.
"Imola is a track which I like," Marco explains, "where last year, together with my friend Ferdinando Monfardini, I went on the podium. I have good feelings and expectations. I just hope to be finally able to live a weekend without bad luck, where I can get important points for the championship both in race-1 and in race- 2."
The Imola race comes right after a sad weekend when the former Formula One driver and owner of Marco's team, Loris Kessel, passed away after a long disease. Joining the mournings of the Kessel family, team and of his son Ronnie, Frezza has just one goal in mind: "It would be nice to be able to win and to dedicate the success to Loris."
The two races are scheduled on Saturday at 16:00 (70 minutes) and Sunday at 14:00 (50 minutes), live on Nuvolari TV (Sky 218).
