Mostert to make Macau GT debut with BMW
Supercars star and Bathurst 1000 winner Chaz Mostert will make his Macau GT debut later this year with BMW, it has been announced.
Mostert will team up with two-time DTM champion Marco Wittmann in one of the two M6 GT3s fielded by AAI Motorsports.
The Australian has been given a call-up by the German manufacturer after an impressive showing in this year’s Bathurst 12 Hour, where he placed a privately-entered M6 GT3 on the front row of the grid and led for majority of the race.
GT racing’s blue riband event takes place one week before Supercars’ new Coates Hire Newcastle 500 finale.
Prodrive driver Mostert currently sits fourth in the Supercars championship standings with two wins, 282 points off leader Scott McLaughlin.
