Engine failure stopped Lacko and Vojtech in Dubai

Bad luck as technical trouble stopped budding crew, Adam Lacko - Stepan Vojtech, in first race of final event of European FIA GT3 Championship in Dubai. Starting from 7th position, of the field of almost 40 powerful cars, Adam early moved-up onto sixth position. But than he started to blaze down. Cabin of MM Racing Corvette Z 06R began to instil with smoke, engine power was decreasing. That's why Adam headed up in piltane shortly before he should be finishing his stint. Mechanics found out in a little time that engine is seized.

TV SPORT 5 will broadcast this Saturday's race as well. Live transmision starts at 13.25 CET.

Adam Lacko: "Big shame of today's race. Seventh time in qualification, it was big expectation for good result and points as well. After start I improved in one position and planned to carry on attacking. But engine started gradually to lose its power. Car's cabin began to instil with smoke and car was getting slow. I had to go in depot about two laps before my 1 hrs race finish. Than, they discovered engine's seizure."

Stepan Vojtech: "Unfortunately, I even did not drive the car in today's race but I have really good feel of practising and qualifications. In contrast to Adam, who competed already in Dubaj in 2005, I have to say that I'm being here first time and I like circuit a lot. I was grasping too much in qualifications for yesterday's race and span the car. I could not have better time than 26th due to this accident. However, we will start one place better tomorow because of disqualification of one racer."
