Gabriele Lancieri and Graham Nash Motorsport Together For The FIA GT Championship.

After a long negotiation, it's official: Gabriele Lancieri is going to participate in the prestigious touring car championship FIA GT on board the Saleen S7-R with the Graham Nash Motorsport team. The sealed deal between Lancieri and the English team entitles the driver to race on 5 important international tracks:Valencia,Hockenheim,Imola,Dubau and Zhuhai.

The first out of the five rounds that he will be participating in will be in Valencia. This Spanish event is scheduled on April 18.

The race in Hockenheim will be on May 16 and then Gabriele will compete in Imola, on his home track on September 5th .Lastly, the two and highly anticipated races in Dubau (United Arab Emirates) and Zhuhai (China) will be hosting the FIA GT circus. Dubai is on October 10th and the last round in Zhuhai will be on November 14th .

Gabriele Lancieri

"I'm very happy with the agreement we've reached. I can finally compete will some sort of continuity in a championship which represents the best in touring cars. The teams and the drivers in this championship have an undisputed reputation and I'm proud to be able to race in this category.

Graham Nash Motorsport's Saleen seems to have alot of potential: it's a fast and well balanced car that is able to fight for the first few positions.

I think that the team's technicians are working on making the car more reliable. In a 3 hour race, it's important not to have technical inconveniences come up.

Unfortunately, during the first round in Monza, the Saleen had to retire after 90 minutes due to a problem related to the gearbox.Surely the team is working on this problem and I hope that things will go smoothly in Valencia.

All of this is possible thanks to my sponsors who have supported and encouraged me.I would like to repay them for all of this by doing my best and by giving them: the joy of a great result , more visibility and new business opportunities.

I would also like to thank my manager Giovanni Minardi and the GP Group staff who successfully helped me come to an agreement with the team."
