Positive Outlook for Magny-Cours
RML travel to Magny-Cours this week for the 3rd round of the FIA GT Championship and look to put the frustrations of the opening two rounds behind them. The team were hampered by punctures at Monza, whilst in Valencia the No 7 Saleen was incorrectly issued with a drive through penalty dropping the car out of contention for a podium finish.
The regular driver line-up of Miguel Ramos/Chris Goodwin in the No 8 car and Mike Newton/Tommy Erdos in the No 7 car proves strong as all four have previous experience of the circuit having driven there in 2003. Mike Newton commented "I am really looking forward to the next round and to competing at a circuit familiar to me. I believe we have a good chance of finishing higher up in the points and hope we will not incur the bad luck of Valencia".
Chris Goodwin is also positive about the French race "Having driven the Magny-Cours circuit on a number of occasions I think it will suit the Saleen S7R. I think the team has made some further progress over the last few weeks which should allow Miguel and I to be more competitive than the first two events".
