Challenging commitments and hard fights are expected to be back in the Scuderia Villorba Corse season next weekend at Brands Hatch. The Italian team will get back on track for the second round of the Blancpain Sprint Series. As done in Nogaro, where they finished in the points, in England Italian Andrea Montermini (above) and Czech Filip Salaquarda will share the sole Ferrari 458 of the championship.

“It is a pleasure to be back at Brands," says Raimondo Amadio, Team Principal. "It is a demanding and historic track where we did very well in the past. It will be a very tough race. We will aim to refine our performance to score some points for the standings. Considering that we will have the Endurance Series at Silverstone straight after, it will be even more important to be consistent and more competitive than in Nogaro.”

“Our debut in the Blancpain Sprint Series has been more hard than expected ," says Montermini, "but it was useful to measure the high level of competitiveness of the championship and also to find the right direction to allow our Ferrari 458 to be faster. Our full potential is closer.”

The English weekend will kick off on Saturday, May 17 with free practice and qualifying sessions. On Sunday, May 18 the qualifying race will take place at 9:30 GMT (10:30 in the rest of Europe) while the main race at 13:40 GMT (14:40 in the rest of Europe). BSS weekend at Brands Hatch will be broadcasted (live, deferred and highlights) worldwide on many TV channels and on www.blancpain-gt-series.com (clicking on GT TV).

Blancpain Sprint Series calendar: 19-21 apr. Nogaro (FRA); 17-18 may Brands Hatch (GBR); 5-6 july Zandvoort (NED); 23-24 aug. Slovakia Ring (SLK); 6-7 sept. Portimao (POR); 18-19 oct. Zolder (BEL); 1-2 nov. Baku (AZ).
