Oschersleben: Paolo Ruberti race report

EIGHTH PLACE WITH DISAPPOINTMENT AT OSCHERSLEBEN

Oschersleben has been bitter with Paolo Ruberti, who concluded in eighth position a very steep race for the number 77 F430 Ferrari in the fourth round of the FIA GT championship.

"It has been a cursed race for us, where the sum of several negative elements had an important part in the final outcome" commented the driver from Verona. "Unfortunately I also made a mistake that was avoidable: while I was letting a GT1 pass to lap me, I braked on a dirty patch and the rear of the car lost immediately grip. I managed to get back on track from the run off, but the bad luck made this happen just right after the safety car, with all cars very close. Therefore I lost several positions, where in normal conditions I would have probably kept the fifth position. In the drivers' classification I am still in third position with 17 points, but the distance from the first driver is now 21 points, a gap starting to become difficult to fill".
