HEXIS on the land of AMR...

After a more than eventful return from Abu Dhabi, HEXIS AMR flew off to the British circuit of Silverstone. The team had little time to put the finishing touches to their engineering and communication tools, and familiarize themselves with a few logistic changes (new semitrailer, new GT1 pit garage structure). But HEXIS AMR do not let themselves impressed so easily and are more motivated than ever to win this stage, that will take place in the Aston Martin Racing fief on May 1st/2nd. Pressure is all the more intense since it is the first meeting where GT1 and GT3 races will simultaneously take place.

Indeed, Silverstone will host the second leg of the FIA GT1 World Championship. As Jean-Denis Deletraz withdrew for personal and professional reasons, Thomas Accary will take his place by Frederic Makowiecki's side. Let's remind that, like the latter, Accary also compete in GT3 ... A twofold mission for these drivers who will hold the wheel of both the Aston Martin DBR9 (GT1) and DBRS9 (GT3).

At last, Silverstone will mark the opening of the FIA GT3 European Championship, for which HEXIS AMR have entered two cars. Frederic Makowiecki and Manu Rodrigues will drive the DBRS9 #1 while the DBRS9 #2 will be tamed by Thomas Accary and ... Luc Paillard, who has just signed with the team. Luc Paillard met Philippe Dumas, team manager, via Gilles Vannelet (2007 FIA GT3 European Champion) a few weeks ago, and already knew HEXIS AMR as they were competitors in FIA GT3 three years ago. Let's quickly come back to his record:

So as not to miss a single lap, here are the GT1 and GT3 programmes, with TV channels broadcasting the event (local time):
