The engagement of AF Corse in the FIA GT Series 2013

Filip Salaquarda and Fabio Onidi will drive the AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia GT3.

AF Corse team will race in the FIA GT Series 2013 with Ferrari 458 Italia GT3. At the wheel the young drivers Filip Salaquarda and Fabio Onidi.

The first of six seasonal rounds is scheduled at Nogaro (France), in the Paul Armagnac circuit (March 31 and April 1).

Born in Prague, Czech Republic, 28 years ago, Salaquarda has started in the motorsport in karting.

A few years later, the new step in Formula BMW, followed by F3 Euroseries, Formula Masters, A1 Grand Prix and WS by Renault with important results reached in a short time.

In the second part of 2011, Salaquarda has raced in GT (3 races on Ferrari 458 Italia GT3), showing a great potential and feeling with the 458 GT3.

During the three races of 2011, the driver has highlighted himself and his result.

In 2012, Salaquarda has raced in the FIA GT1 World Championship together with Toni Vilander, securing two victories and four podiums.

The Italian Fabio Onidi, from Milan born in 1988, has won the Italian Kart Junior Championship in 2003. He, has begun his training in international races at 16 year old.

In 2004, he was protagonist of the Formula Bmw championship with the third position gained at the end of the season.

In 2006, Fabio was the best rookie driver in the British Formula Renault. One year later, he drove for the first time a F3000 single-seater with six podiums and the second overall position in the Euroseries 3000.

Following in the Onidi’s Palmares, there are two years in Auto Gp and new podiums. In 2012 he ended the single seater career, with the GP2 Series.
