IMSA releases 2018 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada calendar
The 2018 season of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada will begin next March at Sebring International Raceway in Florida.

International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) has released the 2018 calendar of the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama, which will be made of 12 rounds across Canada and Sebring.
The series for spec Porsche 911 GT3s will feature its first race of the season outside of Canada with two rounds on Sebring’s road course.
The series, one of 20 global Porsche GT3 Cup single-make championships around the world, provides packed action and prepares drivers for future IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competition or professional GT racing worldwide.
Drivers will race at five venues over 12 rounds, including Canada’s two most prestigious motorsports events in the country - the Canadian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal in June and the Toronto Indy in July. The series will also visit Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario en May and August and will also be part of the Grand Prix de Trois- Rivières (GP3R) street race in August.
“By adding a race weekend at the famed race track in Florida fans will get an early jump on the typical Canadian racing season,” said Alexander Pollich, President and CEO, Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. "For the first time in our one-make series’ history racers will start competing before the official beginning of spring.”
