ORLANDO, Fla. – Automatic Racing will campaign two Aston Martin Vantage GT4s in the 2014 IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge Series. The team has been competing in the GS class of the series since 2002. In 2012, Automatic Racing became the first team to race an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in the United States.

Following the success of their first Aston Martin entry, Automatic Racing felt the time was right to add the second car. The No. 99 Automatic Racing Aston Martin will carry title sponsorship from Invisible Glass, who has been a partner of the team for three years.

Confirmed drivers for the 2014 season include team alumni Rob Ecklin in the No. 99 Invisible Glass Aston Martin, and the team hopes to announce the full driver line-up following The Roar Before the 24 test weekend.

Automatic Racing has been committed to Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge since their entry into the series in 2002. The 2007 GS champions have a long history of success with both competition and car development, and they have earned numerous race wins and podium finishes during the past twelve years.

Development is an integral part of Automatic Racing’s program, and they have been doing extensive testing with the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 during the past two years. The team recently completed two private tests at Sebring International Raceway—a track that requires a unique setup—in preparation for the series debut there in March. Automatic Racing will do further testing and development throughout the 2014 season.
