Buffalo Grove, IL - Fall-Line Motorsports is off to a great start in the 2014 IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge (CTSC) series with their fleet of BMW M3s. John Edwards and Trent Hindman have a commanding lead in the overall driver standings in the GS classification after scoring a pair of second-place finishes at Daytona and Sebring.

Teammates Shelby Blackstock and Ashley Freiberg sit 6th in standings after they each captured their first career victory at Daytona but suffered a mechanical issue at Sebring which left them several laps down. Both driver duos are looking for the top step of the podium at Laguna, which has historically been a strong track for the BMWs. All four Fall-Line drivers have been itching to return to their workspace behind the wheel of their beloved race cars after a long break since Race #2.

John Edwards: "We've started off the year with two second places, so I'm ready to finally stand on the top step! The good news is that our car was competitive and I felt like we could have won both of the first two races. Although Laguna wasn't the best track for the M3's last year, I think we've addressed some of the car's issues and should be able to fight up front again this weekend."

Trent Hindman: "I am so happy the break is finally over as I've been dying to drive again! I'm really looking forward to going back to (Mazda Raceway) Laguna (Seca). Last year's CTSC race was definitely a difficult one for me, but I was lucky that Charles (Espenlaub) was on his game and brought us home a podium finish. This time around I'm confident that John (Edwards) and I will be able to continue right where we left off in Sebring. We're still looking for that elusive win, but it's inspiring to see that we're so close. All the guys at Fall-Line have been busting their you know what's to keep giving us a great car, and I have no doubts that it'll be the same this weekend."

#48 Starstruck/ TrueCar/ Fall-Line Motorsports BMW driver quotes:

Shelby Blackstock: "I am very excited to go back to (Mazda Raceway) Laguna Seca this year because it is one of my favorite tracks and I have a lot of laps there. This year I will be in the BMW rather than the Mustang and I am excited to see how they will compare to each other. There has been a super long break from the last race at Sebring so I am extremely excited to get back in the car."

Ashley Freiberg: "I think it is safe to say that I am very thankful for everything Fall-Line is doing for me. Finding funds has been very tough this year, both the team and myself have been working hard to put a deal together and we hope to get something solid in place soon. I was notified only recently that I would be driving at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and I am definitely very excited. Last year I finished second in GT3 Cup Challenge, so I am definitely hungry for that win. Coming off of our mechanical issue at Sebring, I think both Shelby (Blackstock) and I feel the same way! Let's go racing!"

Michael Harvey, Fall-Line Motorsports Team Manager: "It's great to get back to racing, Mazda Raceway has historically been a great track for the Fall -Line BMWs. We have had a strong start to the season and have been working extremely hard since Sebring. I know my drivers are really excited to hit the track on Thursday and continue where we left off last time out. A huge thank you to Trim-Tex, Starstruck, and BMW for making this all possible, they are unbelievable partners and we look forward to bringing them a great result."

The race weekend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca kicks off on Friday, May 2 at 12:35p ET with Qualifying at 7:40p ET the same day. The green flag of the 2.5-hour Continental Tire Monterey Grand Prix Powered by Mazda race falls on Friday, at 7:35p ET. The entire race will be streamed live on IMSA.com and the delayed broadcast will air May 11 at 10a ET on FOX Sports 1.
