IMSA CHALLENGE BY MICHELIN COMPETITORS READY TO RACE AT THE CANADIAN GRAND PRIX WITH FORMULA ONE

BRASELTON, Ga. June 3, 2008 -- Montreal will be full of life this weekend when Formula One hits town. Racing on the same circuit will be 32 IMSA Challenge by Michelin competitors in their Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars.

Dino Steiner, Wehingen, Germany, who won round four at Miller Motorsports Park, hopes to extend his points lead at the famous Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

"I am excited about racing in Canada," Steiner said. "Canadians are fanatics and this is the highlight of the season."

Steiner will have his work cut out for him in the Platinum Cup, which features 2008 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars. 2007 champion Bob Faieta, Tujunga, Calif., looks to make up for a DNF at Miller. Steiner and Faieta won't be the only two hoping to be victorious on this Formula One weekend. Other Platinum Cup front runners are round three winner Martin Snow, Pleasant Grove, Utah, Tom Pank, Walkersville, Md. and Patrick Kelly, Minnetrista, Minn.

In the Gold Cup, the class featuring 2005--2007 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars, Tony Rivera, Houston, Texas, leads the points after winning the first four rounds.

The IMSA Challenge by Michelin features semi-professional and gentleman drivers racing head to head in Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars -- one of the world's most successful race cars - with sealed motors and transmissions.

Porsche Motorsport North America provides technical support for the series with personnel, parts and expertise both away from and at the track.

Dedicated to the improvement of sustainable mobility, Michelin designs, manufactures and sells tires for every type of vehicle, including airplanes, automobiles, bicycles, earthmovers, farm equipment, heavy-duty trucks, motorcycles and the space shuttle. The company also publishes travel guides, hotel and restaurant guides, maps and road atlases. Headquartered in Greenville, S.C., Michelin North America (www.michelin.com) employs more than 22,300 and operates 19 major manufacturing plants in 17 locations.

In 2008 there are 14 rounds at seven famous tracks in North America including Sebring International Raceway, Sebring, Fla., Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, Ohio and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Monterey, Calif.
