Marcelli Readies to Take Desert by Storm

Barrie, Ontario (May 11th 2009) - After having two weeks off, driver Kyle Marcelli awaits in anticipation for rounds three and four of the 2009 IMSA Lites Championship presented by Hankook this weekend at Miller Motorsports Park. The lone Canadian in the series adapted very quickly to the new car and showed great speed making his series debut at Sebring Int'l Raceway getting on the podium in round one and leading all of round two until a mechanical failure late in the race caused Marcelli to retire.

The past two weeks Marcelli has spent both in the gym, charity events, networking and working on sponsorship relations. Eager to get back behind the wheel, Marcelli leaves Wednesday for Miller Motorsports Park located in Salt Lake City, Utah. It will be a first time visit for the rising talent but with the expertise of the Intersport Racing crew and Marcelli's ability to adapt quickly this should make for one exciting weekend.

"After much work behind the scenes these last two weeks, I'm excited to strap back into the seat of the number #37 car this coming weekend. It's a course that will be new to me, but I've heard nothing but positive feedback about the track and facility. Our goals are simple for the weekend... win!" Said Marcelli

On track activities begin with official testing on Thursday and Friday before the green drops for rounds three and four kick off Saturday and Sunday. Stay tuned for details.
