Lakeville, CT (June 30, 2006) - Similar to the most recent round at the Mid- Ohio Sports Car Course in May, Adam Pecorari (L1 class), Dan McBreen (L2) and Richard Spicer (L3) once again showed that they will be the ones to beat by capturing their class poles during IMSA Lites qualifying at the Lime Rock Park road course in Lakeville, Connecticut.

Under sunny skies, a competitive field of drivers spread over three different classes (Lites 1, 2 and 3) were faced with only having one 35 minute practice session prior to the qualifying session. .

"We didn't get much track time and I did have a couple of small moments, but we came up with a good setup," Pecorari said.

Pecorari, who lapped the eight-turn 1.54-mile course in 54.596 seconds, expects traffic to be an issue during both of tomorrow's 30-minute timed events.

"Given the length of the course, we're definitely going to have to deal with lapped traffic during the race, but it should be a good race," said the Cape Motorsports driver.

In the L2 class, Dan McBreen set an impressive time of 55.994 seconds, leading a 1, 2, 3 qualifying sweep for PVM Motorsports.

"The track got a lot better after the American Le Mans cars put down some rubber for us. This was only my second ever session at this track, so I'm getting quicker each time out. I'm really proud that PVM swept the top three spots in class and we're looking forward to a good race tomorrow," McBreen said.

The PVM Motorsports entries are expected to receive a strong challenge from series newcomer and former ABBA drummer, Slim Borgudd. A late addition to the field, Borgudd quickly adapted to the course and to his prototype Radical for its debut race, setting the fourth fastest time in L2.

"I got into this late and it wasn't pre-planned. I'm the distributor for this car and I ended up taking the drive. The car is very nice, very balanced. Since I'm not competing in all of the races, I'm just going to enjoy myself and break the car in. I think we can expect to see more of these cars at Road America and Road Atlanta later in the season," Borgudd said.

Once again nipping at the heels of the faster L1 and L2 cars, Richard Spicer took honors in the L3 class. Despite having an off course excursion during practice and finding himself in the "lake" in the infield caused by heavy rain earlier in the week, Spicer rebounded to set a very competitive lap of 57.973 seconds.

"I only got four laps this morning, but we made a small camber change before qualifying and it seemed to work well. The key for tomorrow's races is to stay out of trouble. You can be a second or so faster than the car ahead of you, but it can still take several laps to pass them," Spicer said.
