Rabe in for CTSCC race at Daytona and partial season campaign

Monticello, NY – Professional road racer Jason Rabe will take on his first big challenge of 2015 on Friday, January 23 as he runs Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge (CTSCC) event at Daytona International Speedway in the ST class. Rabe will pair with Ethan Low in the No. 31 Bodymotion Racing Porsche Cayman. Rabe last drove the car in 2014 at Road Atlanta, making him no stranger to the scene.

Sponsors for the No. 31 include Delaware Investments, Monticello Motor Club and Tecta Solar. Rabe last raced in the CTSCC at Road Atlanta, where he qualified in the top 10 and led laps. He has signed on with Bodymotion racing for a partial season, and is continuing to search for funding for the balance of the year.

The endurance race will run two hours and 30 minutes on the high-banks of Daytona’s 3.56-mile road course and features multi-class professional sports car racing.

"I'm really excited to get back behind the wheel of the Bodymotion Porsche, especially at a place like Daytona,” said Rabe, who won the Expert Class in Pro Mazda at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on the road course last May.

"There's so much history and prestige at Daytona. It’s another dream come true to be able to race there,” continued Rabe, a professional driver coach. He also took home season-long hard charger honors in the 2014 F2000 Championship Series, passing more cars than anyone else.

“I've raced at Daytona only once before in an SCCA Spec Racer Ford Challenge, I was able to lead a few laps, and finished in the top five.”

Teammate Low is a Florida local and will be making his first ever CTSCC start.

"I'm looking forward to teaming up with Ethan, I've heard good things, and being a part of his series debut is pretty cool,” Rabe continued.

The CTSCC race on Friday is the opening part of the Daytona 24-hour race weekend.

“The Rolex 24 at Daytona weekend is a huge stage, it's the season opener, thank you to my sponsors Delaware Investments, Monticello Motor Club, and Tecta Solar for allowing me to be a part of it,” Rabe continued.
