DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Nov. 22, 2013) - With a white Bengal tiger wrap around the back and on both sides of her Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, Kristin Treager's No. 52 entry was easy to spot on track this year.

Treager fell in love with racing around the same time she started an obsession with the ferocious carnivore, hence her paint scheme.

"Back when I first started racing they had really bad clipart graphics so I just had a simple tiger on my car and we called our team Tiger Racing," Treager explained. "When I was a teenager my dad envisioned having better graphics and putting a tiger on the side of my car."

Treager's father served as crew chief and an unwavering supporter during the early stages of her career. Unfortunately, he passed away before he got a chance to see the eye-catching car wrap on display.

"When we got this Porsche GT3 Cup car I wanted to fulfill what my dad and I always wanted to do, so it's kind of an homage to him and his legacy," Treager said. "He was such a big part of my life when it came to racing."

The Tulsa, Okla.-native says her dad would be "tickled pink" to know she is running a full season with the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama Series next year. Treager will compete full time with 2013 Platinum Cup Team Champion Wright Motorsports. She will drive Kasey Kuhlman's 2012 car, which performed well for him as he finished a close second in the Masters Championship in 2013.

"Wright Motorsports are proven champions, so I'm looking forward to working with the best," Treager said. "I think they could really help improve my technique and my skills to make me the best driver I can be."

The 2013 season was her first experience with the IMSA Development Series, and she ran at Road America and Road Atlanta in the Gold Cup championship. She was impressed by the two events she participated in last season and is eager for a full 2014 run.

"The IMSA organization as a whole runs flawlessly," Treager explained. "It is so great to be part of an organization that supports its drivers, maintains a schedule and constantly communicates so we know what to expect. And as far as drivers go, everyone is fast! That's what I love about this series. Everyone is competitive and fast and pushes you to be a better driver."

In Rounds 9 and 10 of 2013, Treager placed third and seventh in the Gold Cup category at Road America. In the 2013 season finale at Road Atlanta, she placed third in both races and earned the Yokohama Hard Charger Award in Race 2 for climbing from a 23rd starting position to finish 16th overall. Treager fought a tight battle all weekend in Braselton, Ga., with TPC Racing's David Williams, who was a consistent Gold Cup podium finisher all season long.

The 2014 schedule has not yet been announced, but you can bet the series will visit at least one of Treager's top-five tracks. She says she doesn't have a favorite track, but instead a fab five: Road America, Road Atlanta, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Watkins Glen and Mid-Ohio.

As for the race car, Treager is floored to be behind the Porsche GT3 Cup car on a regular basis.

"The Porsche is definitely my favorite race car so far," Treager explained. "It's reliable. It's fast. And it handles amazingly well. There's just something special about Porsches. They drive so well."

As a licensed attorney, Treager balances her time on a simulator with time in court. She graduated from the University of Tulsa College of Law in May of 2013. While in law school full-time and while studying for the bar exam, Treager won the 2013 Porsche Club of America Championship. The common elements of preparation, focus and thirst for victory come into play in the court room and on the racetrack.
