Flying Lizard qualified the No. 35 and No. 45 Audi R8 LMS race cars today for the first race of the 2014 TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, the Rolex 24 at Daytona. With the short race week and minimal available practice time, the team did not attempt proper qualifying runs, instead choosing to use the 15-minute session for setup work. The team still managed to qualify ahead of several cars, with Nelson Canache Jr. qualifying the No. 45 Venezuela / eSilicon R8 LMS (which he will share with Spencer Pumpelly (USA), Markus Winkelhock (Germany), and Tim Pappas (USA)) in 21st position in class, and Dion von Moltke qualifying the No. 35 PR Newswire / UBM Tech / eSilicon R8 LMS (which he will share with Seth Neiman (USA), Filipe Albuquerque (Portugal), and Alessandro Latif (UK/Italy)) in 23rd position in class.

The team has two practice sessions remaining, a 90-minute night practice in which all drivers must run, as well as a 60-minute practice tomorrow prior to the 2:10pm ET race start time on Saturday.
