Sebring, FL, – Jan Magnussen may have missed out on a repeat Daytona victory by a scant 0.034 of a second but the Danish ace remains fully committed to chasing his fifth 12 Hours of Sebring win this weekend.

The Danish ace scored his fourth win here last year and now has his sights set on teaming with regular co-driver Antonio Garica plus Mike Rockenfeller to triumph again in 2016.

The Corvette combinations in the No.3 and No.4 velocity yellow machines have a total of 13 Sebring wins between them but are fully aware the class battle in the GTLM division will again be tough with Porsche, Ferrari, BMW and Ford aiming to take down the Chevrolet combination.

Magnussen took his first win in 2006; backed that up along with pole position and the fastest lap in 2007; scored the win with teammate Garcia for the fist time in 2009 and then triumphed again last year.

Along with the four wins, Magnussen has also taken the runner-up position twice and also scored third at the historic Florida airfield circuit.

This weekend will be a busy one for Magnussen Sr. as he also keeps one eye on his son Kevin's progress in his debut for Renault Formula 1 in Melbourne, Australia. After being on the sidelines for most of 2015, Kevin Magnussen joins Brit Jolyon Palmer in Renault's return as a factory team.

Magnussen Jr's F1 team revealed a new livery in Australia this week - also featuring a yellow and black paint scheme!
