New team, new car, new program for Al Carter in 2015
Only 3 ½ months after his last race, Al Carter is returning to the IMSA TUDOR United SportsCar Championship with a new team, a new car and a new program.

Al Carter will compete in the four rounds of the 2015 Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Cup with ViperExchange.com/TI Automotive and will co-drive the No. 93 ViperExchange.com/TI Automotive Viper GT3-R, prepared by Riley Motorsports in the GT Daytona (GTD) class.
Carter's season will open with the 53rd running of the Rolex 24 At Daytona on Jan. 24-25. This will be Carter's fourth participation in the Rolex 24 At Daytona.
The Rolex 24 also kicks off the Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Cup, which returns in 2015. It continues with the 63rd Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida on March 21, followed by the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen on June 28 and the season-ending Petit Le Mans Powered by Mazda on Oct. 3.

The ViperExchange.com/TI Automotive team had a good season last year. They won two races at CTMP in Canada and COTA in Austin and finished on the podium at Indianapolis and 4th at Road America. Al Carter and the other ViperExchange.com/TI Automotive drivers, Ben Keating and Jeroen Bleekemolen will participate in "The Roar Before The Rolex 24" with ViperExchange.com/TI Automotive, and his Rolex 24 teammates will be announced before the race.
"The Riley Motorsports name and team is legendary in the sport but I couldn't help but be drawn to the fact, that even after all of their past success, they continue to work hard to improve like 2015 is their most important season ever," said Al Carter. "I was lucky enough to have Ben toss me the keys and take out his Viper for a couple laps at their November test. I was very impressed with how immediately comfortable I was in the car. Even when trying to be respectful of being in a testing situation, I couldn't help myself and be on race pace on my second lap."
Carter is listed on both ViperExchange.com/TI Automotive entries (No. 33 and 93) for the 2015 Rolex 24 At Daytona.
Carter's ambition is to finish on the podium of the grueling Rolex 24 At Daytona race. He competed in three Rolex 24's, since he began his IMSA SportsCar career, and so far his best Rolex 24 result is a 15th place class finish in 2013. For 2015, Carter believes that he has all the elements that should allow him to score a well-deserved result at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday, Jan. 25.
