WeatherTech Racing 7th in GTD 12 hours into Rolex 24

At the halfway point of theTUDOR United SportsCar Championship 52nd running of the Rolex 24 Hour At Daytona the No. 22 WeatherTech Porsche is running in seventh place in the GTD Class.

Just after the six hour mark, Shane Lewis (Jupiter, Fla.) drove the WeatherTech Porsche into the GTD Class lead briefly. As the pit stops cycled through into the night the top five cars in the class swapped positions.

"That was the first time I have been able to get some solid laps in the WeatherTech Porsche," Lewis said. "The traffic is a little crazy at night. I stayed in for a double stint. I had a pit lane penalty. I am not sure what happened. I was under the 60 kilometers, but I got called back in for a drive-thru penalty. We are running strong and everything looks good."

Leh Keen (Charleston, SC) got back in at 9:30 p.m. to begin the cycle of WeatherTech drivers all over again.

"I had a really good double stint," Keen said. "I was able to run up front the whole time. It is always dicey here at Daytona during the night. It is fairly relaxing running here in the middle of the night. I am feeling good about the car and the team. We are proving we are one of the best Porsches out there tonight."

Just short of midnight MacNeil took the 3.8-mile, 12-turn road course for his second run.

"I had a good second stint," MacNeil said. "I felt much more comfortable in the car, no drama with flat spots. I was running within a second of leaders during my double stint, so it was a good run. It is really busy on the track. Everyone seems to be driving with a level head. I turned the car over to Shane in third and we are looking good."
