Starting on pole, Fittipaldi got away perfectly in the lead from Harrison Newey while Mick Schumacher lost a position to Tatiana Calderon at the start.

Behind the lead pack, there was a tangle between Enzo Bortoleta and Nerses Isaakyan which ended both their races bringing out the safety car.

But Fittipaldi maintained the lead at the re-start to take a win and the title, becoming the first Brazilian to win the championship.

It was a hat-trick of second position for Newey while Nikita Troitskiy completed the podium, soaking up the pressure from Calderon towards the end.

Behind the leaders, Schumacher took fifth place ahead of Alessio Picariello, who made three places up to sixth and will start the final race on pole.

Karthik Tharani ran eighth for major part of the race keeping Max Fewtrell behind but the Indian retired, ending what looked like a promising run from the MRF 1600 champion.

Debutant Aleksanteri Huovinen was eighth, Dylan Young ninth and Arjun Narendran taking a good 10th on the last lap from Laura Tillett.

Tarun Reddy had pitted under the safety car but was out again and completed 12 laps, finishing 13th. He got a new chassis for the third race after the clash with Picariello yesterday.

Newey clocked the fastest lap of the race with a time of 1m34.488s is comfortably placed on fifth in the standings while the final race will see Calderon and Troitskiy fight for second place, both separated by three points.
