As has become a tradition, Bahrain will host the opening round on the weekend of November 17-18, with MRF Challenge again playing support role to the World Endurance Championship (WEC).

The series will then move to the UAE for back-to-back races in Dubai (November 8-9) and Abu Dhabi (November 14-15). The latter of the two rounds to be held concurrently to the Gulf 12 Hours.

Chennai’s Madras Motor Race Track, which is currently being renovated, will host the championship finale on the first weekend of February.

Buddh International Circuit, which returned to the calendar last season, has been a given a miss.

The entry fees for the entire season has been kept at $60,000 (INR 38.5 lakh), marginally up from $50,000 that was charged last year. Apart from the cost of car, engine, mechanic and tyres, the figure includes transportation and hotel accommodation as well.

Being a winter series, MRF Challenge has attracted several big names in recent years, including Mick Schumacher, Harrison Newey and Pietro Fittipaldi.
