WALLER, Texas - The second-longest running sponsorship in the IZOD IndyCar Series is about to run even longer! AJ Foyt Racing and ABC Supply Co. Inc. have extended their contract through the 2015 season. The extension will make 11 straight seasons of ABC Supply’s support for motorsports legend A.J. Foyt’s IndyCar racing team.

“We have had such great success with our sponsorship program so far it wasn’t a tough decision to keep it going,” said David Luck, president and chief executive officer of the company. “One of the core values of our company is to work hard and have fun, and sponsoring A.J.’s team and being a part of the Indycar Series has allowed us to entertain a large number of customers and associates across the country giving us an exciting opportunity to do just that.”

“Being with A.J.’s team gives our guests an up close and personal experience that can’t be duplicated and we are really looking forward to seeing Takuma Sato behind the wheel of the ABC Supply car this year. Takuma joined us on our recent customer cruise and he was great with our guests. It’s going to be an exciting and fun year!” Luck concluded.

The Beloit, Wisconsin-based company has been an active supporter of the team and of the IndyCar Series since 2005. They have entertained over 40,000 guests at IndyCar races in the U.S. during the past eight years.

“Personally, I’m thrilled that we’re able to continue our relationship with ABC Supply because they have been a very loyal and supportive sponsor, not just of our team but also of the IndyCar Series. While they are always professional in their dealings with us, they feel more like family to me. We have a lot of fun at the track and at their company events. Their support has meant a lot to me over the years,” said A.J. Foyt, whose team is the only one that has competed in every IndyCar Series event since its inception in 1996.

In addition to entertaining associates and customers at race events, ABC Supply maintains two Indy show cars that have made over 124 appearances at their store events and trade shows and logged nearly 60,000 miles in 2012—a figure that will certainly increase in 2013.

While on display at most U.S. based races in the company’s hospitality area, the show car also made an appearance at the company’s 30-Year Anniversary celebration in Puerto Rico last year. This year, the show car, along with driver Takuma Sato and race team director Larry Foyt joined ABC Supply associates and guests on the Holland-America ‘Eurodam’ ship for a seven-day Caribbean cruise.

Founded in 1982 by Ken and Diane Hendricks, ABC Supply has nearly 450 branches in 45 states, and is the largest wholesale distributor of roofing in the United States and one of the nation’s largest distributors of siding, windows and other select exterior building products. It is a six-time winner of the Gallup Great Workplace Award.

The IZOD IndyCar Series kicks off its season on Sunday, March 24 with the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. The race will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network starting at 12 noon ET.
