Auction of special prints to aid Wilson Children’s Fund
A silent auction for special prints signed by all IndyCar starters at Watkins Glen this year – plus four Indy car legends – has begun, and all proceeds will benefit the late Justin Wilson’s children.

Justin Wilson was a seven-time race winner in Indy car racing, and a true giant-killer in the sport. The lanky Brit is renowned for putting mid-grid cars into positions of prominence, and for overcoming his natural shyness to become one of the great crowd-pleasers off the track as well as on.
But Wilson was equally well known for his good heart, endless patience and devotion to family life, and his death at Pocono Raceway in August 2015 left Julia without a husband, and Jane and Jess without a father. The Wilson Children’s Fund, which is being looked after by motorsport PR guru Matt Cleary, was set up to help aid the daughters’ upkeep.
There are just eight copies of the image which was taken at Turn 1 at Watkins Glen International this year by Marshall Pruett. All eight have been individually signed by the entire 22-strong Verizon IndyCar Series grid, along with Mario Andretti, Rick Mears, Roger Penske and Dario Franchitti.
The prints are 16” x 20”, and minimum bid on each is $500. These bids will be accepted via email only, at Paul@MotorsportCollector.com and information regarding the current level of bidding will not be provided.
Paul Zimmerman, owner of The Motorsport Collector memorabilia store and one of the event organizers, has generously offered to cover the shipping costs for all eight prints; 100 percent of the auction proceeds will go to the WCF.
The silent auction is underway and will continue through 12 noon, CST on Christmas Eve, December 24. The highest bidders will be notified via email by 3:00pm Christmas Eve.
