Hollywood Video Teams Up with PacWest

(October 8, 1998) - Hollywood Entertainment Corporation, which operated under the Hollywood Video banner, has joined PacWest Racing Group as an associate sponsor. PacWest Vice President of Business Operations Steve Fusek made the announcement.

As part of the motorsports-based marketing campaign, Hollywood Video logos will be placed on Mark Blundell's #18 Motorola PacWest Mercedes Benz Champ Car at the three remaining 1998 FedEx Championship Series races. Additionally, 1996 Toyota Atlantic Rookie of the Year Paul Jasper will drive a Hollywood Video backed PacWest Indy Lights car in the season finale at California Speedway in Fontana on October 31.

"We're very enthusiastic about joining forces with Hollywood Entertainment." said Fusek. "Hollywood Video is a high profile retailer that can offer our partners numerous marketing opportunities and we look forward to an ongoing alliance."

Hollywood Video is the world's second largest chain of home video superstores. In 1998`the company has slated more than 350 new store openings, making it one of the worlds fastest growing specialty retail chains.

"Hollywood Video is excited to sponsor PacWest Racing Group." stated Jeff Yapp, President of Hollywood Entertainment. 'The highly visible and popular CART series reached millions of entertainment-savvy consumers with demographics that complement those of Hollywood Video Customers."

PacWest Racing Group fields cars for Blundell and Mauricio Gugelmin in the FedEx Championship Series. PacWest also competes in the PPG-Dayton Indy Lights Championship with Didier Andre. The teams racing operations are based in Indianapolis, IN with executive offices in Bellevue, Washington.
