The new 2002 Lola had it's first shakedown at Sebring with Target Chip Ganassi Racing and Kenny Brack Monday, December 17th. The team also showed off the new paint job for 2002 -- Red with white instead of the solid red from years past. A sign perhaps of things to come for the new FedEx Championship Auto Racing series championship run.

Since their first season (1988), TCGR has won racers, pole positions and set records. They are the first team to ever win four consecutive championships (1996, '97, '98, '99). The last two years have been competitive years; however, Ganassi would like the 2002 championship. Prior to the end of the 2001 season, Ganassi wooed Brack from Rahal Racing for the upcoming season. A second driver has yet to be named; at this time it appears to be Bruno Junqueria -- 2001 TCGR rookie driver.

Brack and the team had an earlier test in the 2001 chassis at Phoenix earlier mainly as a "get-acquainted" session. This was the first test for the team with the new chassis/driver combination.

Testing continues Tuesday; however, they will not have the track to themselves as other FedEx CART teams are expected to join them.
