FIRESTONE FIREHAWK RACE REPORT
IZOD IndyCar Series - Milwaukee 225
The Milwaukee Mile - West Allis, Wis.
Round 7 of 17

Sunday's Top Finishers: 1. Dario Franchitti; 2. Graham Rahal; 3. Oriol Servia; 4. Will Power; 5. Danica Patrick.

Race Temperatures: Track ranged from 93°-98° F (34°-37° C) and ambient from 75°-76° F (24° C).

Firestone Tire Performance Recap: Firestone Racing engineers brought a tire specification that was based on the 2009 Milwaukee tire (the last time the IZOD IndyCar Series raced here), but which was further refined at testing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway earlier this year. This tire spec was used during team testing at the Milwaukee Mile earlier this month.

From race winner Dario Franchitti, #10 Target Chip Ganassi Racing Dallara/Honda/Firestone: "To win here at Milwaukee is always very special - but it is such hard work! Tony (Kanaan) did a superb job too. As usual, he was clean and aggressive, and it was a pleasure to race against him. We gave the Firestone Firehawk tires a hard time today - we really did. This track is absolutely very, very tough on tires. The Firestones as usual held up, and there's no other tire I'd rather be racing on."

From Joe Barbieri, Manager, Firestone Racing: "It was great to get back to racing at the Milwaukee Mile after a one-year hiatus. These short ovals certainly create a lot of action, for both the drivers and the fans. Some of the drivers were having no issues at all, while some were having more trouble. With different setups, and lots of traffic to navigate, that's not surprising. We always want every driver to get the most out of his or her Firestone Firehawk racing tires, and the IZOD IndyCar Series field put them to the test today. Congratulations to Dario Franchitti and Target Chip Ganassi Racing for a hard-earned victory."

Firestone "Tire-ific" Move of the Race: This $10,000 prize is awarded after each IndyCar Series race to the driver best utilizing his or her Firestone tires to make a bold, dramatic move during the event. Nominees from today's race are: Dario Franchitti, for leading the most laps and taking a convincing victory; Will Power, for his drive from his 17th place starting position to finish fourth,; and Ryan Briscoe, for a great save on lap one to avoid an on-track incident ahead of him. Fans can vote this week at www.indycar.com to determine the winner.
