Iowa rookie recap
Iowa was not kind to the rookies of IndyCar.

Two thirds of the season is complete, so let’s see how the rookies of the Verizon IndyCar Series did at Iowa Speedway.
Mikhail Aleshin
Start: 12th Finish: 21st
Aleshin failed to finish the race after losing the back end on an early restart and crashing. He got his left front tire on the apron, causing his car to get upset and spin around. He collected Takuma Sato, causing another A J Foyt rant that was made for TV. I’ll give him a 2/5 for this race because after his showings at Texas and at Pocono, I had high expectations for him tonight.
Jack Hawksworth
Start: 20th Finish: 15th
Hawksworth was the only car that finished the race not on the lead lap. His car was just not hooked up all night, but he was able to bring it home to the finish. Hawksworth was able to stay out of the leaders’ way, so at least he was able to be a good backmarker. I’ll give him 3/5 for the race, because although he didn’t keep up with the guys up front, he was at least able to make it to the finish.
Carlos Huertas
Start: 22nd Finish: 20th
Huertas was the first car one lap down and the only time he wasn’t the last car running was between laps 58 and 72. Although he was out of the race due to handling, it was changed to driver illness, so who knows what actually happened to him. It might have been dizzyness because Huertas was nowhere, I’m giving him a 2/5 for the weekend.
Carlos Munoz
Start: 5th Finish: 12th
Munoz was just off during the entire race. Whether it was the setup or whether it was him, something just wasn’t clicking for Munoz at Iowa. He just wasn't hooked up tonight for whatever reason and went nowhere. I’m giving him 2/5 for this race because he only really moved up when others fell out.
Review:
Aleshin: 2/5
Hawksworth: 3/5
Huertas: 2/5
Munoz: 2/5
Standings:
Aleshin: 36/60
Hawksworth: 36/60
Huertas: 33/60
Munoz: 36/60
