PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY, PHOENIX, AZ - Famed NBA superstars Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway, Shawn Marion and Bo Outlaw will be supporting IRL rookie driver, George Mack, as 310 Racing (www.310racing.com), the IRL's first African-American owned and driven team, competes in their second IRL race at the Bombardier ATV Copper World Indy 200 on Sunday March 17, 2002 at the Phoenix International Raceway.

After qualifying for the IRL in January, and placing an unexpected 13th in a field of 27 at the IRL's Anniversary Grand Prix of Miami on March 2, African-American driver George Mack, will be at the wheel again for 310 Racing's second entry in the 2002 IRL season. "I feel good that in my first IRL race our team not only finished, but came in 13th," stated Mack. Although Mack is happy with his team's placement in Miami, Mack believes his team can do better, "I know we can finish in the top 10 b^@& and that will be my goal in Phoenix."

Mack is not the only one enthusiastic about the potential of the 310 Racing team, CEO Marc Laidler, is extremely proud of George's performance. "I love that George is focused on the long term goals of the team," stated Laidler. "This is truly a TEAM effort and each race has a plan which plays into those long term goals."

Both Mack and Laidler recognize that a lot of eyes are on their team. "We all realize the pressure that's placed on our team, because of our history-breaking status, competing as the first African-American owned and driven team. We want to not only finish the IRL season, but compete in a way that makes everyone proud," remarked Laidler.

Mack feels good about his testing performance at Phoenix International Raceway. "The testing went very smooth," Mack stated after practicing. "I have only been in the car four times now and it is still a learning experience, but I feel very confident heading into Sunday's race."

310 Motoring (www.310motoring.com), the Los Angeles based parent company of 310 Racing, is one of the premiere automotive customizing service providers in the United States. The client list for 310 Motoring reads like a who's who of the film, sport, and music industries.

Along with financial support from 310 Motoring, Giovanna Wheels has also made financial commitments for the 2002 IRL season. 310 Racing continues to look for additional sponsors anxious to tap into the African American demographic and this history changing opportunity.

310 Racing maintains an informational web site designed to inform and update the public about the team at www.310racing.com.
