6:00-10:00 p.m. -- "Racing to Recovery Gala" a benefit for the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation features a lavish strolling buffet, cocktails, a silent auction and live auction of sports memorabilia and artwork. A day with Infiniti Pro Series driver Arie Luyendyk Jr. was one of the highlights of last year's live auction. Many IndyCar Series and Pro Series drivers attend this function. EddieMerlot's Restaurant, 3645 E. 96th St. in Indianapolis. Tickets are $100 per person. Tickets are available by calling (317) 450-2070.
