Moutier, Switzerland (March 6, 2008) - American Spirit Racing driver Cyndie Allemann returned home recently to enjoy some time with her family and friends prior to the beginning of the 2008 Indy Pro Series season.
"It's great to be back home for a few weeks to spend time with my family and friends," stated Cyndie. "It was a drastic change in temperature when I arrived. It snowed the other day and it's so pretty." Allemann has been spending the past few months in Florida, where she will return to begin the season at Homestead, Florida. "I already miss the warm Florida weather, but it's so great to see my family."
Cyndie will be racing with her brother Ken this weekend in France (weather permitting) in a Kart race. Cyndie continued, "My brother and I have been racing since we were young kids and it will be so much fun to race with him again." Cyndie's brother owns a kart shop in Switzerland and her father Kurt operates one of Europe's premier karting teams. Cyndie's mom Ariane was also her crew chief in karting when she began racing, it's truly a family affair.
"I'm enjoying my time here at home, but I'm really looking forward to the start of the season at Homestead," Cyndie concluded. "I've got a great team and great support so let's get the Series started. It's going to be great!"
