As the season winds down I find myself looking back at a good year but there is always room to improve. I look back at the near wins as well as the lucky breaks but most of all I realize I have four more races to make a charge. Fifth in points with a tight race at the top anything can happen.

Directly after Mid-Ohio I realized I had more than just bruising to my left knee and tried to test with the injury in Kentucky but the swelling became worse and I could not get comfortable in the car, actually it hurt like hell! So I had surgery to remove a staph infection by removing the infected bursa sac as well as had arthroscopic surgery to clean out the infection. Now just 10 days later I face race week but the staples are out and I've had a lot of time on the couch to think about what I need to accomplish to win not only this race but make a charge for the Championship.

Kentucky Speedway is home to my first ever IndyCar test with Treadway Racing in 2002. I've enjoyed racing there and have collected a couple of 4th place finishes there. Kentucky was the track that revived my championship hunt in 2004 when I first drove for AFS Racing in route to 3rd place in points. The track over the years has become quite bumpy and may present a challenge despite being a 1.5 mile oval. With the support of all my fans and a great team behind me I am looking forward to hitting the track on Friday.
