Prendeville Joins Team Moore Racing for 2009

PITTSBORO, Ind., Nov. 17 - Team Moore Racing (TMR) announced today that Chatham, N.J. native and current Las Vegas resident Andrew Prendeville will drive the Xtreme Coil Drilling machine for TMR in the Firestone Indy Lights Series in 2009.

"We are excited to have Andrew join our team," said Tom Wood, TMR co-owner. "He has great skills as a driver, and with our top-flight racing team, we think that will be a winning combination in '09. Watching him race last year, Andrew is a winner."

Prendeville will be entering his third season of Firestone Indy Lights competition. The 27-year-old has compiled an impressive racing resume, including seven top 10s in his 12 starts during 2008 while running for RLR/Andersen Racing.

"I am really looking forward to the 2009 season with Mark Moore and the whole team," Prendeville said. "After testing with Mark, I think that we can work very well together and fight for podium finishes. We still have lots of time before the season starts so my focus will be on testing, and building a solid chemistry with everyone on the team."

"The team and I are really looking forward to 2009 with Andrew in our car," said Mark Moore, TMR co-owner. "He is a very talented driver, and I really feel we have a shot at the championship with someone of Andrew's caliber behind the wheel.

"We have only one seat available now, and we are working hard to sign a driver for our second car," continued Moore. "There are a lot of skilled drivers out there and we are weighing our options carefully. Andrew will be a perfect teammate for anyone out there with his knowledge of these cars and the series."

The 2009 Firestone Indy Lights series gets underway April 4-5 with a doubleheader on the streets of St. Petersburg, Fla.
