After a successful career in Brazil, 14-year-old Collet joined the European karting competition last year, contesting the KF-Junior class.

He quickly made himself noticed by taking sixth in the CIK-FIA European Championship standings and then third in the World Championship, a result he repeated the Rotax Max Grand Finals.

Collet stayed on the same level this year and was again sixth in the European series, and also secured fourth in the WSK Super Masters.

Apart from joining All Road Management, it has also been announced that Collet will move up to the senior OK level of karting for 2017.

"I am very happy to be joining All Road Management as I move on to the next stage of my career," said Collet. "Of course, my dream is to graduate to single-seaters and eventually get to race in Formula 1.

"I know that All Road Management has the know-how to help me achieve my dream. I am looking forward to learning a lot from them and enjoying a long partnership together."

All Road Management founder Todt added: "We have closely monitored Caio’s progress over the past year and we believe he has the talent to go very far.

"However, the higher up the racing ladder you go, the harder it gets, which is where our concept of total management, looking after every aspect of a driver’s career, both in and out of the cockpit, can really make a difference.

"Back in 2003, I started working with Felipe Massa, so on a personal note, it’s nice to have another Brazilian driver in our stable for 2017!"

Apart from Massa and Maldonado, ARM also manages reigning GP3 champion and Ferrari junior Charles Leclerc, top Ferrari GT driver James Calado and three-time WTCC winner Jose Maria Lopez.
