Burris Indoor season opener results

Winter normally marks the end of kart racing in Wisconsin, but this year Midwest karters have the opportunity to extend that season with the Burris National Indoor Kart Racing Series. The series kicked off in early December at Wisconsin State Fair Park - only a few feet from the famous Milwaukee Mile. The karters test their skill on a coke syrup and concrete track inside the Product Pavilion. Promoter John Nuttall was pleased as the track developed into a 2-groove track.

Racers came away with smiles as they experienced the thrill of high speed racing in a confined space. With speeds over 35 miles an hour around the 1/10th mile track, the g forces pulled at the karters and tested their skill and endurance. Tight racing and close competition limited back to back winners to just 5 drivers in out of 14 classes. Brent Edmunds, Darrek Travis, Cody Lemenager Jacob Zellmer and Colton Clevenger picked up the top prize both days.

John Nuttall said, "It was a fun race to run and watch. We had great racers and invite everyone to come out over New Years Weekend for the next pair of events."
