Donison, Sharma and Ali win National Karting Championship

In the Senior Max category, Donison won the first three rounds with ease before hitting technical trouble during the penultimate weekend at Kolhapur.

However, the BPC driver was able to fight back in the final round, also in Kolhapur, to clinch his third straight title.

Meanwhile, Vishnu Prasad finished second overall in the standings, five points behind Donison’s total of 413.

And Nayan Chatterjee was classified third overall with one final and one pre-final victory to his name.

Sharma takes Juniour Max crown

In the Juniour Max class, Sharma pocketed the title after a close duel with former Micro Max champion Yash Aradhya.

Sharma arrived in the final round six points clear of Meco's Aradhya, who had closed the gap with victory in the penultimate round of the championship.

But with no mistake under pressure in the final round, the Faridabad-based won both the pre-finals and finals to secure the title.

Aradhya, meanwhile, could finish no higher than fourth in the final race and had to settle for second place in the standings. BPC’s Chirag Ghorpade was classified third with 399 points.

Ali beats Alva to Micro Max title

The Micro Max category was a one-man affair with Meco’s Ali beating Birel ART's Ruhaan Alva by 25 points to win the title.

Agra-based Ali, who was recently crowned Asian champion, won three of the five rounds en route to his third straight national karting title.
